How Kakhaga
came to be
Kakhaga began with an idea — or maybe a feeling. Something that wanted to be made, but resisted easy definition. It wasn't quite a magazine form. It wasn't quite a book. It was something in between, something that needed its own shape.
The seed was developed gradually. Page by page. Choice by choice. Until it became a Magazine cum Book — or perhaps a Book cum Magazine. The distinction matters less than what it feels like to hold it.
At A5 size, with 30 to 32 pages, Kakhaga takes approximately twenty minutes to read from beginning to end. But those twenty minutes are designed with care — each page specific, each element intentional.
Storytelling, visual language, words, images, and the space between them — all of these combine to create something that isn't just read. It is experienced.
The goal is not merely to finish reading Kakhaga. The goal is for something — some word, some image, some moment — to stay with the reader long after the twenty minutes are over.
